There is no maximum or minimum amount of time you have to spend volunteering and the tasks undertaken depend upon your own interests and past experience. However we can normally find a task or project to suit most people who are prepared to donate their time to us.
The process of becoming a Volunteer Ranger is simple. After completing and sending us the application form, you will be asked to come along for an informal interview. When you are enroled as a Volunteer Ranger you will get the help and support of an existing Volunteer or one of the full-time Rangers to guide you through those initial visits and tasks. We will also provide simple induction training and if you stay we will continue to help you develop your ‘Ranger’ knowledge and skills.
The Volunteers meet 4 times a year to discuss tasks and projects, there is also an organizing committee that meets regularly to ensure the smooth running of the Volunteers and plan new projects and fund raising ideas.
